University of Colorado at Boulder
The Hubert L. "Hooks" Jones Chapter Tuskegee Airmen Endowment Scholarship Fund was established to honor the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African American men who served our country with distinction during World War II. These men made an impact on society that went beyond their military service and the purpose of the scholarship is to continue their impact on future generations. The Tuskegee Airmen were patriotic, disciplined and competitive. Most importantly, they represented the principle of fairness to all. The University of Colorado hopes that recipients of this scholarship will be inspired by these men and will help honor their legacy by adopting these same values in their lives.
CU will provide undergraduate scholarship awards for students enrolled in the School of Education. All recipients must be incoming freshmen who are graduates of Colorado high schools. African American students, male or female, are particularly encouraged to apply, however a particular race or ethnicity is not required to be eligible for award.
